Elaine Morgan thinks the accepted theories of evolution are hogwash, but she ain’t no Jesus freak. What do you think?
I posted this on twitter last week the day after AM’s memorial. A-Trak stopped by my crib to rehearse this before he was set to do it at the Palladium. A lot of us threw down mini 5 minute sets in dedication to Adam. If my memory serves me correctly it was Jus Ske, Marshall Barnes, Mike B, Jesse Marco, Mixmaster Mike, Peanut Butter Wolf, DJ Fashen, Danny Masterson, myself and then A-Trak did this and got much deserved applause. Overall the service was really inspiring and served as at least a little bit of closure in remembrance of our boy. A-Trak nailed the tribute.

I guess those of us that knew him want his legacy to be intact. One of the best that ever did it. He was a DJ’s DJ and you never wanted to go on after him, nooo way. He was not just some random tabloid celebrity. He was one of us. a music and turntable nerd to the core. I suppose his demons got the best of him. From what I understand he knew it and sought help. I cannot imagine the things that man had to face every day just to stay sober. Being an addict that worked in nightclubs just about every night every week and not having a drop of alcohol! He had to face it EVERY DAY! not to mention surviving that horrible plane crash that spared only him and Travis. None of us can ever know what he was going through. If you knew him you were amazed at his story. The guy was a soldier. He gave life everything he had and gave so much to everyone around him. Always taking time out for his friends, fans, casual acquaintances or whoever you were. A gentleman in the truest sense. I know when people pass away only good things are ever said, but AM was genuinely one of the great ones. He will always inspire me to be a better DJ and even more-so a better person. You will live on through the art that you created and helped to nurture in others.
Aw Yeah!
Adam Michael Goldstein Rest In Peace
from over a month in Brazil and then Asia with The Cobrasnake. Stopped in LA a few sundays ago for the night to do Banana Split with Stretch, AM and Mike B then flew to Manila the next morning with Mark. here’s a whole bunch of pictures from the trip(s). it’s all mixed up in there but that was pretty much my entire month of May and early June. Overall, It was an amazing “tour” and I shouldve been blogging the whole time, I know. Biggest show we did was in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I think there was 5,000 kids at that one and it was televised on 3 TV stations apparently. Then Mark and I went to Tokyo to hang out and I did some recording with one of my favorite Japanese producers (top secret til it comes out!) Shout out to the fine folks at LeBaron de Paris Tokyo for letting us have our little soiree there. I wanna shout out everybody I met and partied with on the trip but too many to mention by name. You know who you are and just know I had a blast!!!!! Sayonara, Adios I’m ghost. Until next time. Here’s a pic of me getting my “pseudo futuristic rap video look” on at Embassy in Manila. Oh my god I’m so PROGRESSIVE!!! Kanye West lookout.
I shouldn’t have left you… etc. Hey I’m on the cover of BPM this month with my homies. It says I’m doing “mad blogging” in the interview which, as you can tell, is not actually true. In fact, one might even say its an outright lie. I intend to correct this problem though I swear. For real. Anyway, here’s the cover. More after the jump. Click it for big version.
